Life can be tough, like lugging a heavy suitcase around. Through counselling I will enable you to look at some of the rubbish in the case which needs dumped, other things may need looked at from different perspectives, and some others may need examined and carefully wrapped for further journeying.
People come with many things, not always neatly fitting into a labelled box but to give you some idea of the issues, I have worked with - anxiety, bereavement issues, depression, abuse in its many forms, dissociation, work issues, bullying, relationship issues, abortion, self esteem, OCD, and spiritual issues. My area of special interest is Trauma, and dissociative disorders. |
What I Offer
|
**Right now I am not able to accept new clients, in order to have time available for current and returning clients. Let me know if you wish to be placed on my waiting list for an opening in my diary.**
As a qualified and experienced counsellor I will give you space, time, an attentive listening ear, and will bring my skills, experience and who I am to help. Sometimes having someone outside of your situation, without their own agenda, is crucial to help you to find a way forward. My assurance is that what you say to me will be treated in complete confidence with some standard exceptions of which my agreement will explain more. I’m an Integrative counsellor, offering counselling both online and in my therapy room in a rural setting, 8 miles outside of Carlisle, Cumbria. |
I work with adults, 18 years upwards, and couples. I do not work with primary aged children.
I offer supervision to counsellors and others in the helping professions.
I am a registered accredited member of the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC). I adhere to their ethical frame of reference.
